Contribution rules (Ontario municipal elections)
- Contribution limit: $1,200 per contributor to a single candidate; $5,000 per jurisdiction (same school board)
- Only Ontario-resident individuals may contribute — no corporations, unions, associations, or non-residents
- Cash only up to $25; above $25 must be by cheque, money order, or traceable electronic payment
- Contributors over $100 cumulative must be named on the financial statement
- Records retained until November 15, 2030
